Manhattan Firearms Manufacturing Co Model Navy in 36 Caliber Percussion. 4" barrel, 5 shot. These Manhattan's were produced between 1859-1868. These revolvers are quite similar to the Colt 1851 Navy. Comes in a lovely wood fitted case. The case contains some patches and round balls, there is a Manhattan paper on the lining showing the cylinder roll engraved scenes, as well there is a key that locks the case. Half and full cock work well. Timing and lockup are good, occasionally a chamber can be off a hair, doesn't do it often, likely needs a good cleaning/oiling. Bore has common black powder wear/pitting for a gun of this vintage. Cylinder nipples are in good shape and all clear. Original walnut grips have dents/dings. Cylinder retains much of its factory applied roll engraved military/naval scenes. All serial numbers appear to match. Overall a great cased set. Antique status in Canada, no PAL required to purchase or own. Will include an RCMP FRT printout showing antique status in Canada. $1675 includes Free Shipping.
