OPEN to ALL on July 13 the 7th Annual Shoot for Cystinosis happens at Decew Gun Club, Cataract Rd, Fonthill. (http://decewgunclub.com/)

More Canadians shoot than play hockey. (2.2 million vs 1.2 million.) Children, physically challenged, women, and men shoot together yet are scored separately.

FREE to attend. Spectators welcome. Wander around. If you’re hungry, buy lunch. Get a T-shirt... participate in the raffles... there is no cost to visit.

$25 to shoot a .22 long rifle at 25 yards.

To make it fair
, everyone shoots at a blank page – a bingo card turned facing away from the shooter. That’s right – a first-time shooter can win.

Your $25 delivers more fun in one day than you’ll have elsewhere, because it also includes lunch (burger or hot dog, drink, and chips) and a raffle ticket for prizes being drawn all day.

That’s right – for only 25 bucks you get to...

  1. Shoot a .22 long rifle safely and legally.
  2. Punch holes in paper targets from 25 yards away.
  3. Shoot for prizes that everyone has an equal chance of winning.
  4. Feel good that sending a box of bullets downrange supports research towards curing a cruel disease everybody wishes nobody had.
  • The grand raffle prize is a Pit Boss Smoker Barbecue.
  • 50/50 draws.
  • Raffles for firearms (winners must have a valid PAL).
  • A HUGE Penny Sale.
  • Niagara Peninsula Pistol Club will let you try shooting handguns for a small fee.

Hosted by Destination Church, Decew Gun Club, and Niagara Peninsula Pistol Club. Members loan their guns for the day and donate ammunition.

ALL workers are volunteers – car parkers, ticket takers, organizers, administrators, range safety officers (one for every shooter), scorekeepers, cooks, servers, setter uppers, and tearer downers. NOBODY is paid...

100% of the money raised goes to the Cystinosis Research Foundation

In the last 6 years we have raised $102,069.87
