Remington Model 95 Double Derringer. 41 rimfire caliber. 3" barrels, 2 shot over/under. Definitely the most recognized pocket derringer of the 19th century. These were popular amongst gamblers, ladies as well as anyone wanting a compact backup gun. This example had the early production desired 2 line barrel address, this is a definitive feature for pre 1898 antique status according to the Canadian Firearms Center. The single line barrel address examples are hard to determine year of production due to no SN rationalization. This revolvers action functions well. Half and full cock work great. Original grips show wear but are free of cracks. Nickel finish shows wear, there is a pin hole by the bottom of the handle. This piece definately looks like it was carried and not just stuffed in a drawer. The hinges are both in great shape with no cracks or previous repairs. Bores show wear/pitting. Barrel to frame connection is solid. Comes with 4 new reloadable brass and 8 lead. Antique status in Canada, no PAL required to purchase or own. Will include an RCMP FRT printout showing antique status in Canada. $1950 includes Free Shipping, brass/lead and paperwork. Insurance extra if desired.
