In very good condition snider made in 1862, dominion of canada stamp. Caliber 577 snider. With regiment marking.

Were manufactured between 1806 and 1814 and widely used by French cavalry during the Napoleonic Wars. This one was made at Saint-Étienne Arsenal in 1811 and still in original configuration/not converted to percussion.

These were a rifle marketed as Children’s toys. Despite low cost, they were known as very safe to operate. Because boys wore them out, they are a bit rare. This one is incomplete, missing lever etc. it is a  somewhat rare rifle.
