WW2 US Machete

A rare 1942 marked U.S. military Legitimus machete. These were used mainly by U.S. Marines in the Pacific while fighting the Japanese.

Any footage or movies about the Pacific theater of war would show these in the hands of Marines as they island hopped and chopped through the jungles.

Comes with a handmade leather sheath that fits perfectly. I believe this was either made by a Soldier or by a local Pacific Islander post war.
