Antique (no PAL) ENGRAVED Belgian Webley RIC Revolver .455/12mm with Leather Holster optional

This antique engraved Belgian Webley RIC type revolver can be yours. It is a pre-1893 Antique as proven by the Belgian Liege proofmark on the cylinder, and is therefore a handgun that can be owned and shot legally with no registration. It chambers and shoots .455 webley and .476 Enfield, which can be purchased factory loaded for antique pressures from Fiocchi or reloaded with brass.

The scrollwork engraving and intricate scenery of the cast hard rubber grips made this into an elegant pistol, likely catered toward a private client while embracing the military appeal of the Royal Irish Constabulary (RIC) style, which was a popular and trusted revolver from the late 1860s through to the start of the 20th century. The finish is a consistent grey patina with no majorly worn, battered, it bruised sections. It may be originally chambered for a larger 12mm bullet given that the .455 Webley projectile fits loose in the bore, but I can't think of what round it would have been.

The mechanics are functional, with reliable indexing and single/double action operation, although the trigger spring is weak and the trigger currently must be manually pushed forward to ensure the action is reset for the next shot. This could be simply remedied with a new spring, or accepted as is. The cylinder pin is a replacement, and the cylinder hand is worn making lockup a bit sloppy and allowing some back rotation if you manually push the cylinder, but it cycles reliably to firing position. The rifling of the 6" barrel is defined with scattered surface oxidation throughout.
