Remington New Model Navy, 36 Percussion, Civil War Era

Remington New Model Navy in 36 Percussion. 7.5" barrel, 6 shot. Serial numbers on this model range from starting at 24,260- 44,943 and produced between 1863-1878 with a total of 28,000 produced. This one's SN is 26,0XX, placing it in the early 1863 production year during the American Civil War! Always an added bonus to hold in one's hand not only an antique revolver but one with a connection to such a historic period of time! The action on this piece functions well. All three hammer clicks are present. Timing and lockup are good, only slight movement in lockup, not concerning. The cylinder nipples are older but in fairly good shape. Original grips rate good and have a previous owners initial on bottom. Exterior shows wear and dings etc, this piece has been there done that. Bore has wear/black powder pitting. The cylinder pin goes in/out very tight and the end appears to have been attached a long time ago. Antique status in Canada, no PAL required to purchase or own.
