Webley No 4 Type manufactured by Charles
Smith and Stanton & Co, circa 1870's-1880's. Very
rare variant, especially in the 380 REV caliber as
the RCMP FRT database did not have an entry for
this model and used this specimen to create one
Antique status in Canada, no PAL required to
purchase or own. I'll include a copy of the RCMP
FRT printout showing antique status. Single and
double action function well on this piece. Timing
is good, lockup is reasonably good with some
movement in lockup. Bore and cylinder walls
have some age related wear/pitting. Original one
piece grip is in good shape, lanyard ring is intact.
Extractor lifts upon barrel tilt, it does not "snap"
down like a MK series one, this may be how it's
supposed to be but hard to know as it's a rare
variant, upon reclosing the barrel the extractor
reseats at about half tilt allowing reloading
Cylinder axis pin center nut appears modern. 380
REV is definitely a rare example to find, 38 S&W is
a close comparable and does fit/chamber/cycle a
wadcutter length 38 S&W. $1995 includes Free Shipping,
insurance extra if desired. If you have any
questions or need more pictures or video please
feel free to ask.
