Looking at selling my scarce, all original Stevens Arms Springfield 87m in .22 S/L/LR. Overall its in nice shape being over 80+ years old. The stock shows some blemishes but has no cracks or any serious damage. It holds 15 rounds of .22LR, 17 of .22L and 21 of .22S.
From research its said that these were made in the 1940's with the intent to be used as M1 garand training rifles with only 300 being made. I have #26 as seen in the last 2 photos behind the buttstock plate. In my opinion one of the coolest looking .22's out there resembling a mix of an M1 garand and a Springfield 1903. Said to be the rarest "Gill Gun" you can find.
