Will consider trade and cash combo, but in very particular circumstances. Will respond to offers that are viable, but will still try and reply to all eventually.
If you’d like, i will very gently (with 1200 grade sandpaper) just take off the wax cover to the stock and/or forend and just put a new coat of Birch’s “Tru-Oil” protectant. This will keep much of the patina, but clean it up too if you’re not loving the wear to the stock. It depends on buyer, I keep them in condition they were from beginning - but I’m glad to do this for a new owner.
This collection includes a 30 WCF (30-30) PCMR Winchester rifle (with markings); A very rare, original lapel pin (PCMR) - reads “pressed metal products - Vancouver - Sterling” on back; lastly is the slightly less rare original cap badge. All in great shape given their age. The lapel badge is so rare you are unlikely to find another up for sale, and it’s only mentioned (and seen) in written backgrounds of the unique PCMR.
The wood on the stock of the Winchester has a lot of aesthetic scratches and little pits, but no cracks. If one were’t worried about historical accuracy, you could sand it down easily and put a new coat of stain on it. But as it stands, it is a great patina and demonstration that these 30-30’s were guns that the men of the PCMR would have been used to, and likely they continued to use them long after the fighting.
Serial number has it manufactured in 1942. Model 94 - 30 WCF - one of the early military purchases (2500 in total) from Winchester.
Free hardcase (displayed) included
Took me since 2019 to put this together - and if you know the PCMR you’ll understand why it took so long. The Winchester is in good shape - bore is good, no rust, it’s just the wood stock that was obviously banged around (just aesthetically- no cracks) while everything above in great shape - especially for age (receiver, barrel, crisp pull, lever action tight).
Check out the online copy of the PCMR from Calibre which gives a great history (of the guns and the unit).

In person, FTF is a for sure. Especially for the gun, not that I’m looking to break up the set. After required RCMP search (just confirms we both have valid PAL’s).
Until deposit of $80 received, will continue to take offers (money and trade possible). Deposit takes it off the market for 14 days so you can inspect it.
