Except for being a bolt mismatch, this is an all-correct WWII K98.
Original finish, non-sanded stock, matching parts, etcetera. This came out of an old collection with some other unique items (K98s and M1 grand)
Bolts were often mismatched upon surrender, on boats on the way home or by post-war importers. This is not a Soviet (Russian) capture rifle, but a rifle surrendered to the Western powers.
Produced in 1944 by Mauser Obendorf (byf 44). Bolt is matching to itself.
Only way you are getting a nicer example is to likely order a bolt matching rifle from the US for considerably more money.
