If you have a Class 12.3  licence (for converted autos) then you can legally acquire and own this museum quality firearm. The Mauser Schellfeuer was produced in the early thirties and was the final evolution of the Mauser C96. It featured an available detactable stock (not included here) with a detectable magazine system (allowing for 10 and 20 round mags) and the gun was selective fire.

The original 20 round mags can be legally owned in Canada (unmodified) because they are exempted from the relevant mag restriction rules

The gun can be registered because it isn't considered it be a handgun - but, as noted you'll need to be grandfathered as a Class 12.3 licence holder (a 12.3 licence is a licence no longer available, to new applicants).

Some of these guns were issued and used by Waffen SS but many more went to China, where the were revered as the "box cannon". You will also find these guns called the Model of 1932 or the M32.

This unit is very good and has Chinese markings and a very good 7.63x25 bore.

You are unlikely to ever get another chance to acquire a gun of this type. If you are a Collector this is generally considered to be unobtainium. It could be dewatted, but I'd rather see it sold is a shootable firearm to the right collector.
