Selling my All Matching 1921 Mosin-Nagant M91 Dragoon Rifle in Excellent condition, a classic piece of history and an earlier version of the famous M91/30.
* Unique Design: The Dragoon model was built for cavalry units, offering a shorter, more manageable length compared to the standard M91. It retains the same power but with improved handling—ideal for mounted troops or those seeking a more compact Mosin.
* Condition: In Excellent condition. All the number are matching even the bayonet. The woodwork is smooth and displays minor wear. No double eagle markings as it is a Soviet Union period M91, but the finish is very good, making it a perfect addition for both collectors and shooters.
* Length: At 1230mm, this Dragoon is shorter than the M91, providing easier handling while maintaining accurate long-range performance.
* Craftsmanship vs. 91/30: Unlike the later 91/30, which shifted to faster and simpler production methods, this Dragoon rifle showcases higher quality machining and materials, especially with its hexagonal receiver, which was replaced by round receivers in the M91/30 for ease of mass production. This makes the Dragoon model more valuable to collectors.
* Historical Value: As a pre-1930 model, this Dragoon holds significant collectible value. The transition from Dragoon to M91/30 marked a shift in Soviet firearm production, making early Dragoon models harder to find and sought after by Mosin enthusiasts.
* Mechanics: The action functions flawlessly, with a smooth bolt operation typical of well-maintained Mosin rifles. As always with surplus rifles, a thorough cleaning is recommended for peak performance.
* As you may notice that the rear and front sights are different from Imperial period M91 and similar to M91/30. It is still a M91 dragoon as it was made in 1921. And during the late 1920s, the Soviet Union began introducing modernization updates to existing models. As part of this process, some Dragoon rifles were equipped with sights resembling those later standardized on the M91/30. All these make it a pretty rare all matching excellent pre 91/30 M91 for your collection.
