El CID Tizona Sword

This is a ceremonial sword (not a real sword) based on a sword “Tizona” used by Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar aka El Cid.  Rodrido was a Castilian Knight and ruler in medieval Spain.   He earned the Arabic honorific “as-Sayyid” (meaning The Lord or The Master) and that in turn evolved into the Spanish “El Cid”.

Total length (tip to tip) is 40.25 inches (102 cm approx)

As you can see from the photos, the blade could use a bit of a sanding and a new silver paint job but other than that no chips or damage to the sword.  I bought it years ago for use at a few private Halloween parties (see photo).  Since then, it has been in a corner collecting dust.

Asking $20 Firm and local sale only.
