Mauser magazine adapter

I bought this awhile ago thinking it would fit on my 308 Spanish Mauser. Turns out it doesn’t fit as the mounting screw holes aren’t far enough apart by about 3/16 of an inch or so. I paid $400 for it but my loss is your gain. 308 fits the single stack mag. Previous owner dremeled out the trigger area to fit a wider trigger, can’t see it when it’s installed on the rifle. I’ve never had it on a rifle and neither did the original owner  just sized up and played with.
