Tested on one of my 20" 308 Rifle shooting 180 GR premium hunting bullet. Intolerable recoil without muzzle brake, with muzzle brake the recoil was reduced significantly and I can keep my scope on target in a prone position pretty easily. I no longer owned a rifle that accepted M15x1 muzzle thread.
