It is a direct clone of the HK P2A1 flare gun and is composed of a steel barrel, and a hard polymer lower. 

You can convert this to use 12 gauge flares using an adapter.

12 Gauge adapter is included with the price already, it will also come with the original user manual.

The adapter is made of duralumin.
