*sold, I have more ads up though* Here we have the antique collector's dream gun. She's chambered in .41 Long Colt, with a serial dating the shipment to the summer of 1891. Check my reviews and buy with confidence; I don't like drama. This was the gun that won the West, also dubbed the "Peacemaker", "Hog-leg" and "Frontier Six-Shooter" among others and carried by outlaws, ranchers, lawmen, bounty hunters, and cowboys. It is beautifully made and practical. It's uncommon finding one of these that are antique in Canada, as in addition to being pre-1898, the .41 is one of the only calibers eligible for Antique status but accounts for only about 4% of production. Single action only, hence the name SAA (many considered double action revolvers to be unsophisticated and crude given their lower accuracy and heavier trigger pull. This ol' gal is for more refined sharp shooters). Call or email me for questions, more pictures/videos, or to make a deal. As an antique, this handgun is not registered and can be sold to you without paperwork - a rare opportunity in today's Canada. Now for the details of this big iron:
-The action is perfect in indexing and timing of the cylinder, and tight lockup.
-The hammer smoothly makes all four clicks through the five positions – forward, rebounded, half cock, cylinder locked half cock, and full cock - with a very strong mainspring.
-The surface is very well cared for and frame still shows case hardening hues and blueing is visible with loss on high points. Screw heads unmarred
-The original black eagle design hard rubber grips are in great shape with a tiny chip on the right bottom (pictured). Grip design transitioned to no eagle in 1892 meaning this is one of the last made.
-The ejector rod and spring work flawlessly, making case ejection simple. Original early screw release cylinder pin (not push release).
-All serials match 141 8xx, and comes with RCMP FRT letter and serialized Colt archive letter for serial 141 831 which shipped in an order of 50 to St. Louis, Missouri on July 13, 1891.
-Comes with genuine leather quick draw holster and .41 lc gunslinger belt
-Can price in a box of 50 factory loaded rounds in brand new Starline brass if you have a PAL. I can refer you to sources for getting your brass reloaded.
-"41 COLT" with patent dates on the left side, address on barrel
-Rifling strong and clearly defined in the 4.75" barrel.
