Antique SHINY .44 Russian Lefaucheux 1870 Single/Double Action Revolver with Holster

price drop from 2650 Mar 10 This is a beautiful Lefaucheux model 1870 single and double action revolver with original leather holster, made in Belgium between 1870 and 1893 as told by the pre-1893 Liege proof. This is the nicer of two of these revolvers I have - check my ads if you want another option or to buy a pair. Originally chambered for a 11 mm French CF caliber, this revolver will chamber and shoot .44 Russian which fits cleanly in the cylinder and matches the specs, and I can work into the deal if you have a PAL. As a pre-1893 antique, this can be owned without any registration or paperwork. Comes with digital FRT showing antique status.

The surface of this revolver is very clean and still shows original blueing with nearly 100% retention on the cylinder. It has been beautifully cared for, with extremely sharp, mirror-like rifling grooves down the 6" barrel and extremely clean internals. The shiny hardwood grips show nice depth in the grain, with some dents on the right grip.  

The mechanics work flawlessly in all respects including the side gate, ejector rod, cylinder, and single and double action operation of the hammer. The cylinder spins extremely smoothly at half cock. This revolver features a creative open top design, held together by a threaded cylinder arbour and a screw in the bottom of the frame.
