*price drop Oct 17* This is a dependable Webley Mk 1 service revolver chambered in .455 Webley (.476 Eley). With so many ways to shoot with strong and accessible modern calibers, these are very popular for sportsmen, bushmen, and those wishing to still own a handgun in Canada. Webley Mk. 1s were the first mass-produced British guns, starting with 10000 ordered by the British army in 1887. Around the 1950s, many were exported from British military service to America where they were often milled to also accept .45 ACP with moon clips or .45 auto rim with no hardware - but this is still in .455 Webley and .476 Eley, and fires both calibers flawlessly. As an antique, this requires no PAL or registration to own or use.
This pistol is in fantastic shape for a top-break revolver that's 130+ years old. The action is smooth and clean in single & double action operation, the lockup is rock solid, the extractor works, the trigger pull is great, and the hinges/latch have no wiggle . It works great and is highly accurate with very strong, shiny rifling.
Visually this gun is also fair. It has an even grey finish with a very clean bore and chambers. It's serialized 21xxx on the frame with a newer barrel and cylinder marked 34xxx, with individually proofed cylinders. Stamped "WEBLEY / MARK 1 / PATENTS".
Ships free Canada, FRT included. Authentic repro leather holster extra $75.
No PAL, 18+
