HOWDY GUNPOST! I've got a really fancy shmancy lil' pocket gun for sale for ya! This is by far the nicest Hopkins & Allen made gun (other than a Merwin Hulbert) i've ever had the pleasure of handling. This is an early 3 digit serial numbered (SN#104) Blue Jacket No.2 that was factory engraved. Later on in the lifetime of the company Hopkins & Allen (H&A for brevity) developed a mechanical pin engraving process that they would offer on many of their firearms. This is why you encounter many Merwin Hulbert revolvers and other H&A made firearms today that are factory engraved. Because this process was quick and easy to do on a mass scale H&A could offer factory engraved guns at a low cost to its customers. Where as paying Smith & Wesson or Colt to hand engrave a gun cost a fortune, because it was done by hand.

So it's rare to find an engraved H&A gun that was done by hand like this one because the cost to have this amount of fine work done was no small sum. Most hand engraved H&A guns I've personally seen have relatively low serial numbers and this may be an indicator that H&A  may have stopped hand engraving completely and switched over to their pin engraving system, which is mostly what you see on the market today. This is just speculation on my part. EDIT* Although upon doing some more research on this some of the later made models from H&A did have factory engraving. So it would seem that it was just a very rarely purchased service from them.

The hand engraving is very pretty and features a mountain scene with a small boat on a lake.

Oh, and the gun is in both excellent mechanical and physical condition!

I recommend you check out my quick little youtube video on this revolver.

Buyer will be provided with an RCMP FRN document that identifies these revolvers as antique status.

The revolver is located in Calgary AB for pickup or I can ship it nationwide on the buyer's dime. I can ship this as cheaply as $19 nationwide.
