Mas 1874

This an unusual piece in there are no markings except ST Etienne the manufacturer , In conversation with a couple of antique gun dealers it is the consensus that the gun was made for a private person and not for the military.The other unusual part is the side cover has a latch instead of a screw.The gun functions as it should with perfect lock up no play in the cylinder in single or double action .The bore looks like it was used very little in that it is shiny bright with strong rifling no corrosion . The weird thing is the main spring was cracked so I had the Gunsmith make a new one .It is chambered  in 455 Webley that is easily purchased.The pictures tell the rest.
