Here is a beautiful Starr Army 44 caliber double action revolver. Built in Civil War era, looks like one of the Union’s 25,000 contract. Mechanically functions well, timing correct and lock up tight. Metal and wood grip in good to very good condition. Trace of case hardening still present on hammer and loading lever. No rust or pitting I can see. Military cartouches clear visible on both side of wood grip. All serial numbers I can find are matching include wood grip, hammer, cylinder and frame etc. Factory markings are clear and sharp. Cylinder nipples are in great condition, no major damage. Bore is also very well with shinning, sharp rifling. See Flicker album for all details. Very rare civil war piece of history in such condition. Antique status so no PAL required, but will need age 18+ verification. Asking $2250, shipping on buyer if needed.
