Near pristine condition swiss 1882 revolver. Only about 7508 of these are considered antique which makes them rare and this one is made after #4000 so it has the first standardized thicker top strap compared to some of the earlier ones where thickness was inconsistent.
All original finish and original grips that are 100 percent. Chambers are very clean and the bore is as sharp and as mint as they get, factory new. Probably wasn't shot much as the Swiss were well known for being neutral.
Lockup is very good with maybe 2 chambers able to wiggle. These revovlers are very nice for those who don't want to invest in reloading as you can shoot standard smokeless 32 S&W long out of them. These revolvers are also much nicer and more robust than the somewhat similar nagant revovlers as they feature a very robust captive ejector rod and of course the fabled abadie loading and ejecting system where when the loading gate is open the trigger is disconnected from the hammer and allows for each trigger pull to rotate the cylinder and align to the ejector for fast and effortless loading and unloading without fumbling, making it one of the fastest gate loading revovlers on the planet.
In addition the internals of the gun are very robust with the large mainspring pulling triple duty allowing for firing the gun, the rebounding hammer, and the trigger reset, removing the need for small delicate springs that can break making for a very reliable gun.
