Belgium Muff Pistol

For your consideration is an original 19th century Muff Pistol (1850-1860s)

Very strong crisp action, with brand new replacement nipple. Barrel and nipple were originally seized on, but I managed to get them off. Bore condition is what you’d expect for the age, dark with some pitting, the barrel is also a .54 cal smoothbore. The wood is in pretty good condition with the exception of a small hairline crack which you can see in the photo above.

 I’ve shot it on several occasions, I personally recommend if you plan on shooting it to only use 10 grains of FFFG black powder with a .530 ball. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKELESS POWDER
