Very cool and old Antique status NO Pal required Original Blunderbuss Flintlock pistol.
This guy is very cool and could definitely tell some stories.
Metal on the outside is pretty nice, wood is solid and nice being so old, that mark above the grip is a knot in the wood NOT damage.
Bore currently 12.51mm so 50cal range
The bore has some pitting mostly near the muzzle. Wasn't aware of this when I made a deal on it or I wouldn't have taken it in.
Lots of meat left with the barrel walls being close to 1/4" thick.
Could probably get away with a heavy clean and polish and shoot lighter loads no issue. I've shot worse bores But I want to be as transparent as possible.
It's a beautiful collector's piece either way leave it the way it is for display, clean and shoot it or ream it and have a new bore :)
I traded close to $1200 worth of guns and knives for it!
