Antique Webley MP aka Model 82, chambered in .450, will also accept .455 Mark 2 cartridges and as it has a rim inside each cartridge chamber, it appears to accept 45 acp brass too!? (Cylinder not shaved!)
lots of blue left on the frame, checkering on grip is in fantastic condition, as are screw heads and all markings visible.
Cycles and locks up good in battery with very little movement (especially compared to most Webleys) Have shot .455 wax and tried 45 acp wax loads for timing check (and fun). Have also shot live .455 On Target brand loads with more control than my smaller gripped Model 83.
For those who know , there are articles on the web of some of these being converted into "Fitz specials" for law enforcement.
Bore in very good/excellent condition.
Believe that the last serial number produced was approx 98000 in around 1911, so this would have probably been issued around 1906-07, but all frames of solid frame Webley's were manufactured prior to 1898, making it an antique no matter when it was issued.
FRT papers will accompany and confirm status. Antiques do not need a PAL, I ask you be over 21 and provide picture ID to confirm.
This is from my collection, and I’m only selling to fund purchase of a rarer antique.
