Bacon Pocket Revolver in 31 Percussion. 4" barrel, 5 shot. These bacon pocket models are quite rare as only about 3300 were produced between the late 1850's and 1867. This example us a lower earlier serial number so it likely saw service during the American Civil War. Many of these pocket percussion revolvers were bought by family members to give to loved ones entering the military. If only this piece could talk! This revolver functions well with good timing and lockup. Half and full cock work well. The bore and cylinder walls rate good for the vintage. The cylinder nipples are all clear. The grips are original. The sideplates have nice factory engraving. All visible serial numbers match. Overall a great harder to find Civil War Era sidearm. Antique status in Canada, no PAL required to purchase or own. Will include an RCMP FRT printout showing antique status in Canada. $1195 includes Free Shipping.
