French Model 1892 Service Revolver in 8mm lebel caliber. 4.5" barrel, 6 shot. Manufactured in 1893. These 1892's saw a long service history up to the 1960's. There are even Vietnam War bring back 1892's as the vietcong used left over French surplus during that conflict. This 1892 functions excellent in single and double action. Timing and lockup are good, lockup is rock solid with zero play. Original grips are in good shape with some common dings. Lanyard ring is intact. Exterior finish is worn and there's some light surface rust. Bore and cylinder walls show surface corrosion that should clean up better with elbow grease. Comes with a hard to find original military issue French leather holster. Holster has a former owners name: BLAIS on rear. Overall holster is in good shape, internal bullet loops are good, belt loop has some stiching letting go, flap strap in good shape. Fiocchi makes modern 8mm lebel ammo and it's available in Canada. Antique status in Canada, no PAL required to purchase or own. Will include an RCMP FRT printout showing antique status in Canada. $2550 includes Free Shipping, insurance extra if desired.
