German 1879 Reichsrevolver, Antique Status

German Model 1879 Reichsrevolver produced by the German Handgun Manufacturing Consortium S&S VCS CGH Suhl circa 1879-1883. 7" barrel, 6 shot. Chambered in 11mm German Ordnance which is a match to 44 Russian. 44 Russian brass and lead or modern produced 44 Russian is available in Canada. This Reichsrevolver is definitely in nicer than commonly seen condition. The exterior retains a fair bit of its original blued finish, the barrel shows holster wear loss and some light pitting. All serial numbers match. The action functions perfectly with excellent timing and lockup. Half and full cock work excellent. Original grips are in good shape, lanyard ring is intact. Unique German military unit markings on the bottom of the handle. Bore and cylinder walls rate good for the vintage, cylinder walls are especially clean. Safety works well as it should. Cylinder pin release is intact. Overall a very nice 1879 example. Antique status in Canada, no PAL required to purchase or own.
