German 1883 Reichsrevolver, Extensive Unit Markings

German Model 1883 Reichsrevolver manufactured by VCS CGH Suhl Germany. 4.5" barrel, 6 shot, chambered in 11mm German Ordnance which is like the more common 44 Russian. Most use 44 Russian in these Reichsrevolvers as it's an excellent match and the brass is readily available. All serial numbers match. This revolver has extensive original German military unit markings on the backstrap as well as a previous soldiers initials branded into the left grip panel, this should make for very tangible research opportunities and added provenance. The action on this piece functions excellent. Half and full cock work well. Timing and lockup are excellent, lockup is very tight. Safety lever works as it should. Cylinder walls are very clean for an antique revolver, bore is very bright and has strong rifling. Exterior retains traces of its original gloss finish, there are areas of light pitting. Comes with 36 new 44 Russian starline brass and 36 lead! Antique status in Canada, no PAL required to purchase or own.
