German Model 1883 Reichsrevolver, Rare Retailer Markings

German Model 1883 Reichsrevolver.  4.5" barrel, 6 shot. Chambered in 11mm German Ordnance which is very similar to the more common/available 44 Russian. 44 Russian fits/functions excellent in the Reichsrevolvers. This example bears a seldom seen retailer mark on the top strap: W KNIES DARMSTADT. This was likely a private purchase revolver. Manufactured by VCS CGH Arms Consortium in Suhl Germany. Half and full cock work well. Timing and lockup are good. The cylinder pin is has a non original nit so pretty end on it but the pin fits well and functions good. Bore and cylinder walls rate good with common wear. Original grips are free of cracks, lanyard ring is intact. Breach face has a non issue hole that is likely there to access the cylinder pin from the rear. Antique status in Canada, no PAL required to purchase or own.
