Need to make a bit of money so I am looking to sell this antique revolver.
Smith and Wesson double action revolver in .44 Russian. Timing and lockup are good in single action, top latch to frame is a little loose but functions. One of the chambers in the cylinder is a little bit rough and I would recommend not firing from that one, so a cowboy load of 5 chambers would be advised. The revolver is complete with all internal parts and original grips. It functions well in single action, I've had it function in double action but it is finicky at the best of times. For the most part the hammer slips the sear too early, timing is fine in double action, just not enough force to ignite the round. The rebound notch (half cock) does still work for loading and unloading as well. The ejector does work, though it is not very strong, maybe a new spring would fix that. The revolver is a little worn but does still function, it is really more of a collector's piece though.
I am selling this with 70 cases of starline .44 russian brass, fired once or twice, finish is tarnished from black powder but the cases are still in good condition. As well I have 29 rounds loaded with a 200 grain cast lead bullet, backed by 20 grains (by weight) of 3f scheutzen black powder.
Also included is a pistol case, nothing fancy, just Plano. Price can be negotiated as well as whether or not you want the casings or loaded rounds.
Revolver is an antique so no PAL required, but the loaded rounds would require a PAL.
