Webley Mark 1, 455 Caliber, Antique Status

Webley Mark 1 Service Revolver in 455 Webley caliber, 4" barrel, 6 shot. These Webley Mk Series revolvers have an extensive historical service life throughout the British empire and are one of the most desirable/recognized antique classed revolvers. This revolver had a light cylinder machining at some point which is what most had upon import to North America in the 1950's to adapt them to use 45ACP. This cylinder machining has left an area around the center cylinder ratchet to allow original 455 Webley with no need for a spacer ring, unique as currently 45ACP with moon clips will not work, but if someone wanted to use 45ACP/moonclips they would just need to mill/file off the lip left around the center ratchet, easy procedure. The action on this revolver functions well in single and double action. Timing and lockup are good. Bore and cylinder walls are in nice shape. Original grips  show wear/dings, lanyard ring is removed. Serial numbers match on frame, barrel and cylinder. Extractor works well as it should and lifts upon barrel tilt and retracts upon full barrel tilt. Antique status in Canada, no PAL required to purchase or own.
