Webley Mark 1 Service Revolver, 4" barrel, 6 shot. Chambered in it's original 455 Webley configuration, the cylinder has not been modified to accept 45ACP as many were in the 1950's. Serial numbers match on frame, barrel and cylinder. The action on this Webley functions excellent in single and double action. Timing and lockup are great. Forward cylinder stop holds well. Early in this revolvers life the backstrap hump common to the MK 1's was tapered off to make it streamlined like the MK 2 and later Webleys. The back strap has a military applied batch/unit number, this shows it happened a long time ago and is a non issue. Original grips are in good shape and free of cracks, lanyard ring is intact. Bore and cylinder walls rate good-very good for a vintage Webley. Barrel to frame connection is good. Barrel is NP nitro proofed. This was a proof test done with the introduction of more modern powders to show it passed the test. Extractor works well and lifts upon barrel tilt to eject brass and snaps back in place upon full barrel tilt. If you need brass, lead or dies please inquire. Antique status in Canada, no PAL required to purchase or own. Will include an RCMP FRT printout showing antique status in Canada. $3850 includes Free Shipping. If you have any questions or need more pictures or video please feel free to ask.
