Webley Mark 2, 45/455, Great Extras added

Webley Mark 2 Service Revolver, 4" barrel, 6 shot. Chambered to accept 45ACP handloads with the use of moon clips (2 included), original 455 Webley with the use of the included spacer ring or 45 Auto Rim with no need for moon clips or spacer rings. The ability to use 3 different 45 cal brass options! The MK 2 is a very desirable MK as it was upgraded with a hardened blast shield, thicker hammer spur and stream lined back strap. This revolver also has the sought after NP nitro proof mark on the barrel showing it was pressure tested at the military armories to handle the introduction of more modern powders instead of black powde  at the turn of the century. Thousands of these Webley's were imported into North America in the 1950's as surplus, at that time most had their cylinders lightly machined to accept 45ACP handloads/45 auto rim as original 455 was scarce. The original factory finish shows well on this piece with common dings. The action functions excellent in single and double action. Timing and lockup are good. Barrel to frame connection is solid. The extractor works excellent as it should and lifts up to extract brass upon tilting the barrel and retracts when barrel is fully tilted. Original grips show well, lanyard ring is intact. Bore and cylinder walls are bright and rate very good. Serial numbers match on frame, barrel and cylinder.
