This particular Colt was manufactured in 1859. It retains the majority of its original finish, some worn in the grip areas. The cylinder has some very nice engravings of a stagecoach and figures, along with the classic Colt logo. The bore and chambers are excellent, I figure this has remained in its case for the majority of its lifetime. It is missing a small retainer pin for the lever latch (easily fabricated) and it could use a tiny washer between the cylinder and the frame, as the timing only seems to function when the gun is pointed down. Both are very easy fixes and do not detract from the overall value of the gun.
It comes in it’s original lined box, with the original brass powder flask, original Colt style bullet mould (one conical, one ball) with two old casts in it, the disassembly tool with nipple wrench, and an emigration office card from the time period, noting that this revolver was bought by someone emigrating from Great Britain.
The last one of these that I’ve seen was a higher serial number in slightly better condition with a better condition powder flask, that sold for just under $7K Canadian.
