Authentic Enfield percussion rifle for sale
Enfield percussion rifle, .58 caliber. Walnut, brass and steel. The large hammer, rifled round barrel, octagonal, at tang, lockplate, two stock bands, lanyard ring, swivel ramrod, butt plate are of steel. The stock cap and trigger guard are made of brass. It has a full length medium stained walnut wood stock. It also has a permanently attached swivel ramrod at muzzle mouth. Stamped on lockplate is an English inscription (E.P. Bond - London). Length: (36.5 in); Length: (21 in).
The barrel is lightly pigmented. The barrel features several markings, including the number 25 and the letter V, as well as small symbols. The nipple is in good condition. There are also small marks on the stock, showing that it has probably been professionally repaired. The stock plate bears witness to its age, but remains in place and in good condition.
The firing mechanism is fully functional. This rifle qualifies as an “Historical Weapon” under the Canadian Firearms Act and requires no permit to carry. However, you will need to obtain the necessary permits for its use with black powder.
