Isaac Hollis & Sons British Smoothbore Percussion .60 Cal Musket
Believed to be a Northwest Trade Gun made by I Hollis & Sons
I Hollis & Sons logo on tail of lock which shows
“Maker’s to Her Majesty’s War Department” engraved on the Lock surrounding the IHS Logo
“I Hollis & Sons” engraved on side of lock
30” Barrel - 1/3 Octagon and 2/3 Round – Badly corroded – Not to be Fired
Barrel has probably been shortened
The barrel has been inletted to accept a front and rear sight.
The front sight is squashed down and there is no rear sight.
Inside of barrel measures .578” at the muzzle
Overall Length 45 3/4”
25 marked on Barrel along with proof marks
Apparently the 25 designates a .577 caliber bore
Brass “Serpent” side plate
Smooth brass butt plate
Not sure if it is the original ramrod and the stock looks like it was refinished
The action works fine and fires percussion caps as designed

Quote “In the 1860s, the Hudson's Bay Company began to order firearms with percussion caps for use as trade goods.
"It would have been made for the Hudson's Bay company between 1879 and about 1900, and sent to North America during that time for supply as a trade good." Unquote
