Designed and manufactured in Czechoslovakia after WW2 for police and Military.
Designed byOtaker Galas , This rifle built in 1957 .
To be accepted as a Military sniper rifle the rifle hadto group into a box at 600 meters with the dimensions of 50 cm by 50 cm.
The scope is a typical post and crosshair design , elevation turret adjustable from 100 meters to 800 meters.
The bolt handle has a slot in it to use it as a wrench to remove the screws mounting the scope to the rifle. The mount is a dovetail mount that re-zeroes when re- installed.
The elevation knob on the scope still has the original clamp on spring loaded rain guard , usually the first bit of kit that gets mislaid.
The bore is excellent with a counter bore of about 15 mm in case the rifle is dropped on the muzzle , this modification from the factory protects the crown and maintains accuracy .
