Here is a sporterized 1917 BSA lee enfield, this one is by far the nicest sporterized rifle I’ve seen and you can tell that the person who did the work had a considerable amount of skill, the wood is very nicely finished and has lots of figure to it, the magazine has been shortened to a flush five rounds and still feeds reliably. The bluing is very good and the bore and headspace are good as well, the gun shoots best with heavier flat base bullets.
the original irons were replaced with marble sights which come up very nicely
There are some minor scratches here and there from almost 120 years of use, but otherwise it’s in great shape
the serial number is also 97979 which I thought was funny but I don’t think that does much for value.
perfect rifle for someone wanting a classy old school sporting rifle
trying it at $450, feel free to shoot me an offer, local sales are preferred but I can ship on your dime if required l.
Thanks
