Brand new in box. I only took it out of the box to inspect. It has only been function fired by Marlin before leaving the factory as with all Marlin rifles. Comes with everything it does from factory including a hammer spur and cheek riser.
What you see on the receiver in the pictures is just the factory oil.
I also have a new in box Marlin Dark in 45-70 ($4000).
