Wow, look at this World War II Survivor! Cal. 8x57 (8mm Mauser). S# 673f. Bbl. 23 1/2". Blade front sight with sight hood. Tangent rear sight graduated to 2000m. Mismatched numbers. Receiver top has "bcd 42" markings, denoting mfg. by Gustloff Werke in 1942. Arsenal rework-type blue finish with plum-colored extractor. Hardwood stock set. Cleaning rod is present & new sling.
UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: clc1942 code 84/98 bayonet with mismatched scabbard. Scabbard shows oxidation throughout. Bayonet shows areas turning gray.
CONDITION: stock set has an arsenal-refinished appearance with added oil, some dings, and handling marks. Metal retains 95% arsenal rework type bluing and some light dings on bottom metal. Action functions properly when hand-cycled. Bore shows nice & clean good to very good rifling.
