Indonesian model SMLE No.1 Mk3* 'Drill Purpose' rifle

This is a somewhat rare Indonesian model  SMLE. This has been stenciled "DP" on the butt which means "Drill Purpose". This designation was applied by armories for a variety of reasons, ranging from being unsafe to fire to obsolete and unsupportable by spares. Normally, this is stamped on the receiver, but In any case, purchaser should not count on shooting this rifle unless it is thoroughly re-certified by a competent gunsmith.
