I'm putting up my Pedersoli 45-70 Rolling block for sale.
I am only selling this great rifle because I got a Sharps rifle last year, and don't shoot this as much anymore, and could use $ for house repairs.
When I say that this is a fantastic shooting rifle, I am not kidding. I have won many matches with it, both long range and silhouette.
I have loads figured out for it that will shoot under 1 moa, and I will include my loading data and sight settings.
To date, my best group with it was 4 out of 5 shots in 1.5" at 420 yards
The rifle is 45-70 caliber with 1-18 twist barrel that is 30" long. The chamber and rifling is pristine, and was always meticulously cleaned after each trip to the range.
I put a foam pad and stitched on a leather recoil pad cover, but it is easily removable.
The rear sight is a MVA #108 mid range sight with the medium Hadley adjustable eye cup.
The front sight is a #17 Lee Shaver globe sight with level. I also have a card of many different sight inserts.
The trigger is very crisp, and quite light at maybe 3 or 4 lbs ( I don't have a trigger gauge)
The hammer is notched to allow chambering long cartridges for maximum accuracy.
There are a few minor cosmetic issues that don't affect anything. There are a few dings on the nose of the stock from the folding down the sight.
There a a few tiny scratches on the barrel, and a couple spots where the blued finish had a few drops of chemical splash on it, and discoloured it.
The stock on the right side by the receiver got a crack that was glued and clamped, and should never be an issue again.
This is a fantastic rifle, and match ready just as you recieve it.
I would like $2100 or best offer plus shipping or local pick up.
I will also include 50 fire formed Starline 45-70 cases with it.
I have a bunch more pics, but can only load 10 here
