This is a short model 1895 Marlin chambered in 45-70. It is the stainless steel version. The barrel has been ceracoted , likely when the muzzle break was installed. Skinner rear peep and optic front sight. Very nice. For Marlin fans, I am cleaning out the safe and will also be selling a 336 in .35rem, and a model 39A Golden . Hope to have those adds up soon.
