Relatively recent Marbles peep sight.
(Has a Westfield barrel (post-1960). The serial number on the receiver, with matching numbers on the forend and bottom of the barrel, indicates a manufacturing date of 1912. The matching serial number 24 in. barrel is stamped with "Savage Arms, Westfield Mass USA." So I assume this rifle was re-barrelled at the factory after 1960 (when the factory moved to Westfield) Supposedly when the Westfield Savage factory replaced a barrel they screwed them tight to the receiver so it couldn't be easily removed. It could still be removed as any other barrel. So it is tight.)
