J.C&A Lord carbine made in 1868 or thereabouts probably by the Birmingham trade. It uses the Snider action and fires .577 black powder rounds. Supposedly only around 200 were made, so they are not very common.

The bore is pristine and overall the carbine is in very good shape with a beautifully grained stock. At some point a small crack has been repaired in the forestock (see pic), and the ladder of the rear sight has been changed to a period correct permanently fixed 'V' notch short range with a flip-up 'V' notch longer range one.

Note: if picked up locally, and with presentation of a PAL, I will include 20 reloaded rounds in lieu of the postage cost.

Please contact for more information, and thanks for looking. The asking price includes postage within Canada. No PAL is required.
