This is Marlins “Baby” saddle ring carbine just like the Winchester 1892. It is chambered in 44-40 with 20 inch barrel. Minimal bluing on barrel and magazine. SN 286517. Mechanically excellent-works flawlessly with no issues, has fair rifling. I have test fired it. The crown could be touched up as it has a few dings. Wood is good fitting (not over sanded like so many) and with no cracks or repairs. A nice little shooter and a collector that is in reasonable condition overall.
