Deluxe half-Octagon Take-down Marlin 1897 case coloured 22inch 22 SL & LR JM stamped in very good condition. Manufactured in early 1903.
Fading of the case colour receiver. Overall in very good shape and mechanically in excellent shape. Wood has its weathered look but has no cracks and is in solid condition. Bore is in amazing shape for its age. Some bluing loss on barrel, but I’d estimate it at 30% with light patin. The gun letter ls with a 24 inch barrel, so it was shortened to 22 inches at some point.
